Hello friends. Today I want to tell and show you my homemade product that uses voice control. In fact, this switch-on switch with voice control. A feature of this homemade is that this device can not only by voice command to control the load, but can also respond with voice commands recorded earlier on the flash card. By its appearance, the device turned out to be so inconspicuous. This is my fault, but I did not set myself the goal of making it beautiful, it was just laziness. Actually, for the same reason, I brought a minimum of devices to control this device, of which on the front panel only the responder’s volume control knob and receiver of flash cards, which at the beginning also wanted to push inside. What can this switch? It can turn off 3 loads independently of each other.It works from the following way: in the switch, I organized increased noise immunity from unwanted switching on. This is expressed in the fact that in order to switch off the necessary load, you must first turn to the device. For the address, you must say “Arduino”. I called it so because the heart of this device is the voice module, with which we will further become acquainted, intended primarily for the designer "Arduino". Although I have never come across Arduino and in this device its modules are not used. We turn to the Arduino switch, if the switch answers “Listen”, then say the following of the three commands I assigned, “Lamp”, “ Garland "," Light ". After accepting the command, the device will transfer the state of the connected device to the opposite: if the lamp is on, turn it off, if it is not, turn it on. And answer, for example: "The lamp is off" or "The lamp is turned on" ... Simply put, our dialogue with the switch will be as follows: - Arduino. - I'm listening. - Light.
- I turn on the light. It was certainly possible to program the module with specific commands: “Turn on the light”, “Turn off the light”, but I decided to make sure that one command turned on,on and off. All answers are recorded by me on a flash card. These are regular wav files. Tex was reading the English translation site. This can be any other program that can read tex. Or, in general, you or your relatives can record these answers ... I don’t know plus or minus, but this device is sensitive to the timbre of the voice. That is, for example, he recognized my wife, I did not record her voice separately on the module. And I made the answers to others: a woman answers me, and a man answers her. Funny, is not it?) Well now let's finally get to the test of this device. We turn on the network, connect one load. It takes 5 seconds to wait for the module itself to load, while the controller to access the module, while the player initializes the USB flash drive and files on it ... Watch the video below the work process ... This switch is working. Now let's look at the filling of the switch. Remove the top cover. The first board player with an amplifier. It is she who reproduces the answers recorded on the USB flash drive. Managed by the board using the UART protocol. Commands are sent by the controller located on the second board, to which we will return a little later. Next, the third board, a power unit with power switches, is made on semesters.The whole circuit is galvanically isolated by voltage. The board is also controlled by the controller. The power supply provides 5 volts of stabilized voltage. Power switches can withstand a load of about 200 watts per channel. Now let's move to the second board. It has a controller that controls everything and the voice recognition module. We will look at the operation, connection and configuration of the module in the next video. And now I will explain the operation of the controller, which is executed on atmega8. The module recognizing the command gives the command to the controller via the UART, after processing the command, it switches the load on or off and sends the command to the sound module to play the sound response. It seems everything is simple.) I want to say that by making this home-made product I did not set myself the task of making a serious device, rather a toy.
