How to make heating?

After the construction of the "box" of the building, in front of any owner becomes such a task as the installation of the heating system in the house. It is preferable to make it water, however, there are other solutions to this issue. If you still stopped on the water heating system, you should definitely remember that the cleanliness of radiators is an important aspect in the care of the heating system. And all because the dust that accumulates on the walls of the battery, prevents optimal heat transfer system. The best thing is to remove dirt with an ordinary spray gun, which is included in the kit of each modern vacuum cleaner.

What does the system consist of?

Before we talk about how to make heating in the house, consider what constitutes a water heating system. It includes items such as:

  • hot water boiler installed in a special room - basement or boiler room;
  • heating devices - steel or cast iron radiators, or pipe registers;
  • pipelines that have diameters of 19-25 mm, serving to supply heating to heating appliances;
  • An expansion tank with a capacity of 30-40 liters, installed in a specially prepared insulated part of the cellar or attic, is necessary to receive heat from the system, because when the water is heated, its volume increases.

To know how to make heating with your own hands, you need to consider that the most popular heating system is a two-pipe, with a laying of the distribution line from above, under the ceiling. The second, the return line, is located below, under the heating devices.

Choosing the best heating system

In order to choose the right heating system, it is necessary to correctly classify all the heating systems for individual houses. Among them are:

  • type A - designed for single-storey buildings with a fairly steep roof, having a basement;
  • type B - used for heating single-storey houses with a flat roof;
  • Type B - designed for two-story houses with a steep or flat roof.

If your house belongs to the type "A", then it would be more expedient to use only a vertical system of water heating. It is possible horizontal wiring, but not in the attic, but under the ceiling.If the boiler is installed in the basement, the pipe depth must be at least 10 m. If your house does not have a basement at all, then the boiler must be located on the first floor.

In the case when your house is of type "B", it is desirable to use a water-based central heating system. The boiler is necessarily located in the basement, and gas is used as fuel, because the height of pipes in such houses does not exceed six meters. If the house does not have a basement, it is allowed to place appliances for heating water against the outer walls of the building.

In the house "B" -type, it is more expedient to install a two-pipe heating system with lower or upper wiring and vertical risers. It is strongly not recommended to use a horizontal heating system, since with it it is almost impossible to heat the whole house to the end. Boilers can work perfectly on any fuel, since the height of the pipe in such houses is not less than 10 m. So, before considering how to make heating, it is advisable to remember that the floor, walls and ceilings in the room in which the heating boiler will be installed must be non-flammable.There should be no less than 50 centimeters between the wall and the boiler, and the floor should be upholstered with roofing steel.

Mounting the system

After all the preparatory work is completed, you can begin to install the heating system in the house. Consider how to make heating. The system must start from the heating element. It can be a boiler, stove or AOGV. From it, a pipe, whose diameter is 60 mm, connecting to the expansion tank, is brought upwards. In the lower third of the tank, a pipe of the upper line is attached, which is then diverted downwards and connected to the pipes previously held in each room of the house. This is the bottom line of the heating system of the room. An overflow pipe is attached to the expansion tank. It is necessary so that the excess water from the system goes to the sewer. The next step will be the construction of a second line of the heating system, through which water will return back to the boiler. It is also carried out in every room of the house in parallel with the hot pipes. Now the heating system is closed.

To know how to make the heating system correctly, first of all, you need to calculate how many radiators you need for your home. This is done as follows.If your house has an area of only 40 square meters, then you need 10 square meters of radiators (its more accurate to count 1 square meter of radiator per 4 square meters of floor space), 30 meters of pipes whose diameter is from 19 to 50 mm. It is worth remembering that the temperature to which the water in the boiler needs to be heated directly depends on the outside air temperature. If it is no more than -5 degrees outside the window, then the water in the boiler should be at least +60 C; if -30 C, then +90 C and so on.

Very often there are failures in the water heating system due to the fact that it was poorly run. Start must be done as follows. First you need to thoroughly flush the system. It is separated in two places and a plastic hose with clean water is attached to the supply pipe. Through the return pipe dirty water will go down the drain. It is necessary to flush the system until clean water comes out of the return pipe. After that, the disconnected places are again fastened, and the system is filled with water. Now the system is ready for seasonal work.

Also do not forget that before the start of the heating season should be carried out a test furnace. The water in the system is heated to 95 degrees and held for several hours. During this time, check the tightness of the system and the quality of the heating fluid.In the system, during operation, one or other problems may arise, therefore, in order to avoid them, such preventive measures are necessary from time to time. If leaks were found in the system, the threads should be unscrewed and the damaged linen strands replaced with new ones. If the thread was damaged in the pipe fixture, it is necessary to replace it with a new one. However, it is worth remembering that collecting a system from different pieces is completely unacceptable, since in this case, it will serve you very little.
